Gigantism - is the resulting disorder of endocrine system due to over production of growth hormones released by the pituitary gland.

Pituitary gland releases growth hormones in body which will usually increases during pubertal period in which growth spurt occur. When there will be abnormality in the pituitary gland, it releases large amount of growth hormone which results to gigantism. If pituitary gland produces less growth hormones it will result to dwarfism.
